Well, I haven't been too good about updating but I have really good reasons....really...I do.
December turned out to be a very eventful month. Christmas Day was spent with us all waking up, myself blacking out, EMT's spending time at our apartment, me not remembering the rest of the day, and spending the night in the ER. They aren't sure what happened, but as of right now it's between a Mini-Stroke and a seizure. Waiting on tests and a handful of Drs apts to find out for sure. It was very scary and my poor husband handled himself so well. They asked him tons of questions about my medical history, my medications, etc and he did great! I pretty much missed out on Christmas because the part of the day that I was "awake" I don't remember at all. All I have are the pictures that were taken. :( Kinda stinks. I do know the kids had a great Christmas, and this year will be better. Michael wasn't here this past Christmas but we will all be together this year. I am so happy and so look forward to it.
Three days after Christmas, we signed on our very first house. We are so excited, there is so much to do and to be done to it to make it ours, but at least we are out of apartment living. Its a cute little two level house. It's 1,720sqf, has a huge basement with a ton of potential, three "real" bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and small living room upstairs. I don't have many pictures but I'll post the one I do have from when we were just looking at the house. It no longer has the swing or trash in front yard, but I can't wait to see the tree in full bloom. The front yard is huge. The lady that lived here previously had dogs so the entire back yard is dirt and in bad need of some TLC, so I won't share pics of that for a while. :)
Mr. Nolan being cute
Adam dared Michael to ride the horse at the grocery store, then snapped a pic when he got on lol
My beautiful little girl!
This year has started out pretty good so far. Spending a ton of time with the family, staying home with the two babies and just trying to enjoy each minute.
Nolan had his procedure done in January. That was so not fun but I do have to say that the staff at Childrens Hospital in Denver were awesome! I've never seen so many caring people in a long time. It went well, no complications, but he didn't like it that's for sure. The good thing is they are very pro-parent. You are aloud there for almost every second except for the procedure. He had three done at the same time. So far the only answers we have are: he is allergic to milk and the fats/proteins/lactose in milk, has walking toddler diarrhea and reflux decease. His diet is to remain the way it is for now, as it really seems to be helping. No milk products, no fruits or juices (the natural sugar makes the diarrhea worse because his body can't process them) and he has special milk to drink that can only be done via prescription and delivery. Fun. :) With his diet and his new antacids, things seem to be doing a little better. We will still have bad diaper days, really long nights when his stomach hurts really bad, but we seem to have a handle on it for now. I hate seeing him in pain, but at least now its only about 1-2 days a week. :) He is gaining weight slowly, but growing at a rapid pace so the Dr is happy with that. He had to prove how fast he's growing. The other day we were driving around and Nolan was screaming and grabbing his feet, so I took his shoes off and the crying stopped right away. We ended up making a stop and getting him new shoes. Crazy how fast the little monsters grow. :)
Tan's getting so big. She's had a major growth spurt this winter. I say she has grown at least 2-3" already. Some of her night pants that fit earlier are above her ankles, poor girl. lol. She is such a great helper around the house, she helps with the cleaning, she cleans her room, she helps with the laundry, and all this without me asking her. She's always coming out and asking "can we clean" or "can I dust". She loves the swifter duster. :) She's excited that she gets to start school in a couple of months. She's already asking which school is hers, can she walk to school (no its too far for that), telling us that she has to have new clothes and shoes for school, along with all the school supplies and backpacks lol. It will be a sad but good day for mommy.
Michael is doing fabulous. We have normal pre-teen problems at home, but no where near as bad as I'm sure others have it. He's an Honor Roll student, and I couldn't ask for more. He makes me so proud of him each and every day. He is leaving in two weeks to go to his dads house for one week for Spring break. I'm not looking forward to that. Will be the first time since his dad and I had a huge "disagreement" that he will be going there. Afraid they are going to say things to him, but only time will tell. The good thing is that Michael is coming to that age where he is seeing things for himself. Praying all goes well and he can just have fun and spend time with his family.
Thats about it in our neck of the woods. Same thing, different day, not much changing. Hugs to you all out there.
