Michael had his 12th birthday. I can't believe I'm am a mother of a 12 year old. He's grown so much in the last few years. Sadly some of it I missed it, however, I make it a priority to attempt not to miss anymore. He's so smart and makes me more and more proud of him all the time. He made Honor Roll this time, however he missed Principals List by one grade, and of all grades that was Teachers Aid. All because of video games. So, he is now not aloud to play games anymore. At least until summer. (although I know he will when he goes to his dads house bc that's all he does there)
For Veterans Day Tanis' class did a little song and dance. They had to military men come in and they gave them little gifts. It was so cute.
For Mike's birthday, Tan, Mike and I went to It'z Pizza. Not the greatest place to go but that is what he wanted and since it was his first Birthday with us in a while, he got it. We had a nice little pizza buffet then headed to the games.
Then, shortly after Michaels birthday, on Nov 15th, Tanis decided that while she was playing on the school playground she was going to jump on a cement wall and crack her head open. (if you are squeamish, stop reading now) She then had to have two staples put in her head, miss school for almost a week, then go in and have the staples removed. Of course, right before Thanksgiving.
This was when she had the staples removed. They have a "child care team" that came and gave her an Ipad to play with while she was having them removed. She did great. (and believe it or not they came out really easy and painless. They use an instrument just like an actual staple removed. Weird for sure)
