My little girls first day of school....

Oh my goodness my baby girl started Kindergarden this past Friday. It was so awesome to see how she just jumped right in, no problems, and before the first bell even rang she had two new "friends".  She is such a people person and I love that about her. She had a blast her first day of school. The worst part of the whole day was when I picked her up. I couldn't figure out, or get out of her, why she was so upset and didn't want to talk about school. Finally, I got it. She was completely upset that she wasn't going to school on Sat and Sun. She wanted to go to school and wanted it to be a school day. Each day we got up and each day she asked me if it was a day for her to go to school. lol. She's so cute. I hope the enthusiasm continues....a mother can only hope...

My baby girl is 5!!!

How did this happen. She's growing up way too fast! It's not fair and I wish I could put a stop to it. She turned 5 this month. It seems like yesterday that she was just a baby still sleeping in my arms. (although she was sleeping in my arms last night bc of a bad dream) lol. We threw her a little BBQ at our house with the family over. My dad called and talked to her for a little while. She had a blast. It looked like Hello Kitty threw up in my house lol. (yes, its her 5yr old addiction) Michael spent most of the time inside trying to beat my cousin Jeremy at Hockey, which he didn't lol. And they played until almost 10pm.

This shirt was supposed to be for school but daddy let her wear it today

Yeah, this little turd ate three hotdogs and two pieces of cake lol

 Presents :)

August...so far

August has brought about many surprises in the least. Took Nolan in to the eye Dr last week only to find out he has an eye problem called Exotropia. You can see it a little in this short video., around the 30 second mark. What it is, is his eye muscles are very weak. He is now in glasses for the next 6 weeks, then we are going to patch his eyes for 6 weeks (alternating of course) and then at that point revisit and see if he needs to have surgery to shorted/strengthen the eye muscles. Its really bad in his right eye and slight in his left eye. We shall see. Didn't think he would be happy about wearing glasses but believe it or not he gets up from bed and his naps and reminds us to put on his glasses. He looks just like his daddy did when he had glasses.

His eyes were still dilated from the office and we just picked them up but he didn't want to take them off. He had to wear sunglasses the rest of the day but now won't take these off. lol.

July

Lots of happening here, things have been crazy. My grandmother came this month to visit, and it was great. I haven't seen her since I flew to FL in high school. She got to meet Adam and two of my babies. Because of situations out of my control she was not able to see Michael in person while she was in CA however I did make sure that they were able to webcam. She was so tickled.

What happened while grandma was here:
* we spent a whole day just us girls and the kids getting ready for L's Birthday party
* we had the birthday party
* spent the next day having dinner at aunt and uncles where Nolan got stung by about 10-15 wasps (or at least that many stings)
* went to a family dinner with grandma
* she went on a short trip with my aunt and uncle
* we went to a sky sox game where we were rained on and had a ton of fun
* she spent 1/2 the day with my kids and I before she left
* and then we had to say goodbye again

We got in a Sky Sox game thanks to my uncle and we had a blast. It poured down rain for the first two hours we were there but we waited it out and watched a great game. The kids had a blast and kept trying to get Sox (the mascots attention)

Grandmas last official night in town and we all went to dinner for some good conversation and catching up

Michael came home on July 28th. To say I was happy to have him home would be an understatement. He was gone for a very long 7 weeks. His sister and brother darn near knocked everyone out of the way when he got off the plane. I don't know who was happier to see him, them or me. lol. Tanis looks up to her big brother so much and Nolan just adores the crap out of him. Now we are one big happy family again and it's great.
