We Have a New Addition to the Family

Haha...we have a new addition to announce. We told my cousin we were possibly looking for a puppy to bring home and she told us of a friend who had some that he was trying to find homes for. I went and took a look and came home with this little girl. It's been a couple of long nights, with many more to come, but in the end it will be well worth it. She's so adorable, the kids love her, and it's nice to have an animal in the house again. Just can't wait for the puppy faze to pass. :)

Health Update

We drove to Denver for a lovely appointment that was oh so fun. I saw the neurologist for my first appointment. It was very interesting. He seems to think that what is causing all these issues with me is chronic episodic migraines. I learned quite a bit about migraines. You can have a massive migraine and not even know it. Migraines can get so bad that they can actually cause your body to shut itself down, to shut your heart down, to do just about anything.

The good thing is, he is putting me on medication that he thinks should help them subside a little bit to where they are manageable. It will be one pill every night before bed. I have taken 3 and haven't noticed much of a difference, but only time shall tell. Hoping that this helps.

A Day off Of School

It's been a long week and a half. About two weeks ago Michaels school district decided they were going to shut down for a Friday, just because. Seriously? So, my aunt offered to take us, my cousin and her kidos to the Cheyenne Zoo. We had a blast. Michael was able to be a big kid and take off with my little cousin. Tanis ran around with my aunt and my cousin and I walked around attached to the two strollers.

they have really long tongues

The last time we came Tanis wouldn't feed them, this time she didn't want to stop

Miss Tan had to take a picture on all the fake animals :)

The only time we could get Michael to actually stop and take a picture :)

Nolan and Fiona

He just kept coming back to the glass to say hi to the kids in the stroller

After the zoo, we went up the mountain to the Will Rogers Shrine of The Sun. It's such an amazing view of the city and the surrounding plains. Yes, even for someone who's absolutely afraid of heights. I was able to go inside and climb a couple of flights of stairs but couldn't go any higher. Michael made me proud and went all the way up, alone!

Happy Easter

This was the first year in a couple where we were all together to celebrate Easter. It was so nice to have the whole family here. It was a blessed day. The kids found their baskets that the Easter Bunny left, had a little breakfast and spent the rest of the day hanging out as a family. It was so nice.

Later in the day we went outside to have a little family time and play with the bubbles the easter bunny brought to us.

No denying daddy and son :)

Saturday Egg hunt @ the VFW

This past Saturday the kidos and I went with my aunt, my cousin and her little girl to the VFW and did a egg hunt. They do a little lunch with treats for the kids and an egg hunt. The kids had a blast. They separated the kids into three different age groups. Michael went last. I didn't get to take any pictures of his hunt because he took off with the big kids. He had a ton of fun though.

I have no idea what it is with this little girl and putting baskets on her head. She did that the last time we came here for the hunt. lol.

Eggstravaganza

The kiddos and I went to my aunt and uncles last night to decorate easter eggs for the hunt at the VFW for Sat. The three little ones were in the kitchen and the two big kids were in the living room with their own fabulous coloring schemes.
It was so weird to sit with the three "little" kids and have Tan be able to sit there, have her own colors, and color and decorate her own eggs as the "big" kid at the little kids table. I love it, but at the same time it makes me realize how fast she's growing up. Won't be much longer and she will officially be at the big kids table. :(

My big girl dove in right away and had a blast

His first time and look at him go

Tan ended up getting her own new colors and her own cups

He was so excited because "I did it" lol

My cousin and Michael at their own table. They had special colors

Tan got to decorate the eggs with stickers when the little ones were all done coloring them

The boys funky eggs. They came out awesome! They were using colors that were to be alternated and had oil in the coloring. It was a long process but the eggs were fantastic
